Another long pause

Hello everyone. It's been a while and I have a lot to post. First of all I would like to thank my Aunt Karen for coming to see us on June 20th while she was up from North Carolina. Ella was about 3 or 4 weeks old the last time she saw her. I was so excited. Here are some shots from the visit:

The next day she woke up with a whopper of a cold. I couldn't believe how it developed over night. But she still kept playing. She's such a trooper.

The next week she learned how to sort laundry. She would take all the clothes on the floor and move them all to one side of her and then start all over again. Now if I could just get her to take them downstairs and wash them..................

And here is the view that Dan and I have gotten really used to lately

In addition to sorting laundry she decided she was going to cook us breakfast that Saturday

She only made it as far as the floor but it's the thought that counts :)

That afternoon we had a couple parties to go to. The first one was my friend Meredith's party she had for the old Newark gang. Ella got to try out the new swing set they got for Jaymeson and Kiley. She loved it.

Later we went to Dan's Dad's yearly get together. Last year I was getting kicked in the ribs at their party and this year I was showing our beautiful little girl to everyone that was rubbing my belly last year. It was wonderful to see everyone. Plus this was Ella's first bonfire and she was just in awe of it. But she tuckered out fast and there was thunder and lightning so we decided to pack it up and call it a night.

Another first was Ella's first 4th of July. Dan and I got Ella her first beach toys the night before because we decided we were going to take her to Canandaigua to play in the sand and swim. She really had a great time. She was very busy with covering herself with sand and splashing in the water.

Saturday we went to Madison Moens' 2nd birthday party. Another event last year that Ella was kicking my ribs during. Only it was her 1st birthday but you get what I mean. My friend Kimmie passed out Elmo cupcakes to all the eager children. Enjoy the progression of this.....

You would think that it would have occurred to me that red frosting cupcake equals strip your 10 month old down to her diaper...........but noooooooo. So it turned into two days of soaking and one day of scrubbing to get it out and to my surprise it worked. Me 1, red frosting 0 :)

She also started standing on her own this past week and get really good at it this weekend, it feels like any day now shes going to be taking her first steps. It's hard to believe for me lately that she will be one soon. It feels like just yesterday............

Yet today..............

Ok, starting to feel sappy. I will end on that note. Hope you enjoyed.
