What a weekend

This was a very fun and exciting weekend for us. Friday night when I picked up my little munchkin from daycare she had a new do:

As you can see she's still trying to make peace with the grass. Back in April was the first time Ella came in contact with grass and she wasn't impressed. We're getting there.

Also on Friday I was trying to prepare Ella for Father's Day:

Observe the blank stare and crickets chirping when she's asked to stay DaDa. It's a work in progress. Dan says he doesn't mind. I was told that babies always say dada first so I was prepared. But when she said mama first I actually felt a little guilty.............................just a little :)

Saturday was busy. Dan and I were getting things ready to go to my mom's friends cancer benefit while Ella was taking her naps. We knew that we were going to be out late and we wanted to make sure that she got her rest. Our friends the Johnsons's called to let us know that they were at the hospital to have their baby. I was so relieved for her because she was due Friday the 6th. She had a little girl and we're so excited. We can't wait to meet her.

We had a great time at the benefit. There was lots of live music and we got to hear my stepfather play. Ella had a great time. She danced and played in her pack-n-play. People got a kick out of her. And in true fashion we documented the event with 2, that's right, 2 pictures

We were in Gorham until 10pm and when we got back home we were able to get her to sleep with no problem which we considered pretty lucky.

Then Sunday.........Dan's first Father's Day. He got a ceramic travel coffee mug from Ella that she put her hand and foot print on and he got to go to Riki's for breakfast. That is our favorite place in Fairport to go for breakfast. We were able to make a stop at 3 dad's houses and a picnic at Dan's Grandparents house. We got rained out a little but a good time was had by all. And at the end of the day I realized we were so busy that we didn't take any pictures.

The weekend was fun but we are looking forward to just "vegging" this coming weekend. I'll leave you with a few other pictures from this past week. Until next time.........Enjoy :)

Uh huh

When I started this blog I said to myself, "I'm going to keep up with this and post all the time." Easier said than done. Enter 9 month old that likes to crawl away fast, work, dinner, housework, and the occasional date night and you have a receipe for the blog not getting updated. Oh did I mention I'd like to add sleep somewhere in there (what's that!). Here's dinner tonight. It's broccoli, biter biscuit, and rice cereal(which I'm ready to give up on). I'm tired and want to go lounge. Enjoy.

This is when I decided it was best to get her a bath and put her in bed before she slept in her high chair all night and went to daycare tomorrow with broccoli hair :)
